Selective Travel Management Announces Partnership with South Eastern Regional College
This Summer major eighteen individuals with their eyes on a career in corporate travel are being offered a unique helping hand designed to set them on the path to success.
Belfast-based Selective Travel Management, recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing independent Travel Management Companies, and Jurys Inn which has 36 business-friendly hotels located in cities throughout the UK, Ireland and the Czech Republic, have joined forces with South Eastern Regional College and The Department for the Economy to create an all-new Corporate Travel Academy.
The innovative pilot scheme will provide eighteen places on a six-week Assured Skills Programme. Candidates will be hot house in all aspects of their target career arena and, on completion of the course, will have earned a level 3 qualification in Leadership & Management, plus a guaranteed job interview, with the chance to put their new skills to work.
Announcing details of the scheme, Keith Graham, Managing Director of Selective Travel Management, said, “As a business we are resolutely committed to continuous learning and development. Elaine Flynn, SERC said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for anyone, any age, with an HND qualification, in any discipline, to train, qualify and fulfil a role in corporate tourism.
“This is a six-week intensive programme, commencing on 30th September to 8th November at our Lisburn Campus. Participants will complete a Level 3 qualification in leadership and management and a customer services qualification as well as guaranteed interviews with Selective Travel Management and Jurys Inn Hotels.
“Participants will be paid £155 a week including childcare and travel costs.”
