WestJet restarts flights between Dublin Airport & St. John’s
WestJet has commenced a new non-stop service between Dublin Airport and St. John’s for Summer 2025, re-establishing a direct connection between Newfoundland and Ireland.
This long-anticipated route offers travellers a seamless gateway from Ireland to Newfoundland, Labrador and Canada’s east coast. The flight between Dublin Airport and St. John’s International Airport takes around four-and-a-half hours.

This route re-establishes a vital transatlantic link that celebrates the strong historical and cultural ties between Ireland and Newfoundland. WestJet now offers direct services to 4 Canadian cities, and we are also pleased to see that WestJet is expanding its flights to Toronto, providing even more options for travellers between Ireland and Canada. WestJet will offer more than 20 departures per week from Dublin in Summer 2025 and will have more than 200,000 seats on sale, reflecting the growing demand between Ireland and Canada. Aer Lingus to fly to Prague and Geneva from Cork Airport this winter
Cork Airport is adding two new, exciting European destinations to its route map as Aer Lingus announce new routes to Prague, Czech Republic and Geneva, Switzerland as part of the airline’s winter schedule.
PRAGUE
Aer Lingus will fly twice-weekly from Cork to Prague this winter, with services operating on Thursday and Sunday – making it a perfect destination for a weekend city break. The service will operate from October 23, 2025, through March 26, 2026.
GENEVA
Aer Lingus will fly weekly from Cork to Geneva this winter, with the service operating on Saturday. The service will operate from December 20, 2025, through March 28, 2026.
LYON
The service to Lyon will operate from December 20, 2025, through March 28, 2026.

KLM to launch third-daily service from Cork Airport to Amsterdam
“Third time’s a charm” as KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced that it will expand its operations at Cork Airport by adding a third-daily service to Amsterdam Schiphol this winter (excluding lower season January 4 – February 20, 2026). Through Amsterdam Schiphol, passengers can travel to KLM’s network of over 160 destinations worldwide.
With a presence at Cork Airport since 2020, KLM has grown from strength to strength and currently operates a twice-daily service to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. KLM had already increased its capacity on its Cork – Amsterdam service since spring this year, by using larger Embraer E2 aircraft on the route.

FRAntastic boost for Shannon Airport as new Frankfurt service announced
The Shannon Airport Group is delighted to announce an exciting new addition to Shannon Airport’s summer ’26 schedule. Discover Airlines, a Lufthansa Group subsidiary, is set to introduce a direct, twice-weekly service from Shannon Airport to Frankfurt, Germany, starting on April 4th, 2026.
The route will operate on Saturdays running from 4th April to 24th October 2026, and on Thursdays from 14th May to 24th September, offering passengers a quick 2-hour journey on board an Airbus A320-200. The new Frankfurt route will add more than 16,700 seats to Shannon’s summer schedule.
