New Business Travel Routes

New routes boost options for UK business travellers

Airlines are continuing to expand their networks from UK airports, giving business travellers more direct choices and greater flexibility when planning international trips.

British Airways is increasing its winter long-haul offering, with the return of flights from London Heathrow to Melbourne via Singapore and the launch of a new London Gatwick–Colombo service. The airline is also increasing frequencies on several established routes, including Tokyo Haneda, which will see twice-daily departures from Heathrow, providing improved connectivity to one of Asia’s key business destinations.

Regional travellers are also set to benefit from expanded services. United Airlines has resumed direct flights between Glasgow and New York Newark after a seven-year hiatus, restoring a valuable transatlantic link and access to onward connections across the United States.

Within Europe, easyJet is strengthening its UK network with a number of new routes. Highlights for business travellers include new services between London Stansted and Paris Charles de Gaulle, Southampton and Paris Charles de Gaulle, London Luton and Ljubljana, and Newcastle to Krakow and Reykjavik. These additions provide more opportunities to travel directly from regional airports, reducing the need to route via London.

The latest route announcements reflect a broader trend towards improved regional connectivity and increased schedule flexibility, offering UK business travellers more choice, shorter journey times and easier access to key commercial destinations.
