New Birmingham Route
easyJet flights to Birmingham take off from City of Derry
easyJet, Northern Ireland’s largest airline, has launched its first flight on a new domestic route from City of Derry Airport to Birmingham.
The new twice-weekly service will operate every Monday and Friday.
easyJet is now the largest carrier and the only airline offering a direct connection between City of Derry and Birmingham, providing customers in Northern Ireland even more convenient access to key cities across the UK.
Steve Frazer, Managing Director at City of Derry Airport stated:
“We are thrilled to strengthen our airline partnership with easyJet and grow their operations across the Northwest, these additional flights will make easyJet the largest carrier at City of Derry Airport after less than a year since their inaugural Edinburgh and Liverpool flights.
“The Birmingham route has been in high demand for travellers in this region…who regularly commute throughout the year. With the easyJet service operating on a Monday and Friday, it is ideal for business passengers flying out on a Monday and returning home for the weekend…”
Mr. Frazer added: “Passengers travelling to Birmingham can enjoy the ease and convenience of flying local from City of Derry Airport, as well as cost-savings on airport parking, fast-track and lounge access, and customer service excellence from our award-winning team.”
This new route is the third service easyJet has added to its City of Derry network in the last 12 months, following new flights to Edinburgh and Liverpool, further strengthening domestic connectivity between Northern Ireland and key UK cities.
