Loganair Takes off With New Routes in 2019

Carlisle Lake District Airport has officially opened

After months of anticipation, the Lake District 's Carlisle Airport has finally opened to the public. The first flight, operated by Loganair, took off on July 4th and headed to Dublin Airport.

Loganair will be operating all of the flights to and from Carlisle, with a schedule of eight flights a day planned across the week, and a total of 12 at weekends.

It marks the first time since 1993 that the airport has been open to both commercial and business travellers.

Routes from Cumbria and the Lake District will include return flights to London Southend, Belfast City and Dublin airports. 

Loganair are now operating over 1300 flights per week to over 40 destinations across the British Isles, Norway, Denmark, Belgium & Germany with a fleet of over 40 aircraft.

Other routes include the City of Derry airport flying to Glasgow, Manchester and London Stansted, and Newcastle flying to Aberdeen (commencing September), Stavanger and Brussels.

City of Derry to Manchster, Glasgow and Stansted are now bookable on one ticket with Emirates & KLM connections.

City of Derry Airport will be an ALL jet service from July with a new afternoon schedule departing week days 14:40.
