Net Zero and the Travel Industry
We are just over 26 years away from the worlds net zero carbon emissions deadline. So where are we in relation to what we need to achieve?
Icelandic airline, WOW Air, has announced today that it has ceased operations with all scheduled flights cancelled.
According to reports the airline was in deep financial debt and had been looking for a backer for months, with talks between Icelandair and a US firm broken off in the last few days.
The carrier, which started flights in 2012, has 11 aircraft and flew from Edinburgh, Gatwick and Stansted in the UK to destinations that include New York, Boston, Montreal, Reykjavik and Toronto.
Selective Travel Management are currently analysing all data and will be in contact with all travellers who have recently booked to travel with WOW Air.
