A new mobile app for risk-averse business travellers on the go will be launched by Selective Travel Management at the Business Travel Show Europe
The all-new Tripscape app from Selective Travel Management enables Corporate Travellers to view mobile itineraries, source risk information, report location and more. In the event of disrupted or cancelled travel, it also allows for reassuring two-way communication between the traveller and Selective Travel experts who are on hand 24/7 to make hassle-free changes to itineraries and bookings.
Launching the initiative, Keith Graham, Managing Director of Selective Travel Management, said, “Post Covid, corporate travellers are taking to the skies again, catching up on lost time as they reassert the unique value of face-to-face meetings in our global marketplace. Confidence is returning, but corporate travellers nevertheless remain cautious and are, in particular, wary about the potential for last-minute travel disruption.
“Tripscape enables them to keep pace with changes and developments as they happen, and also allows them to tap into Selective Travel Management’s unique expertise in Risk Management and Duty of Care. We have long been a leader in this crucial arena, supporting customers who recognise the need to look after their employees travelling on business. Now, using bespoke technology we are able to bring our expertise to their phone or mobile device wherever in the world they may be and whenever they may need us.”
Travellers can report their location via live geolocation to enable Selective to know their whereabouts against their itinerary location, while a trip brief is automatically visible within the app, allowing risk-averse travellers to read and fully understand the destination they are travelling to and any risks that may be associated.
While current focus is inevitably on the potential for post-Covid complexities, the new app also addresses travellers’ more prosaic requirements for information such as weather forecasts, currency converters and local guides. Boarding passes, itineraries and trip information are all regularly updated and available at a glance, while Tripscape even records expenses and adds parking reminders.
“This new add-on service from Selective is all about reducing the hassle of travelling, so that our corporate travellers can focus on business … and on enjoying the journey. We see Tripscape as a new guardian angel for corporate travellers!”, said Keith Graham.
Visitors can test drive Tripscape with live demos at Stand BTSJ162 at the Business Travel Show Europe which takes place over September 30 – October 1 at ExCel London.
